Dialogues
SABIRMaydan was intended as a pilot forum to involve engaged citizens and activists around the concept of Mediterranean Citizenship, following the Arab Revolutions and uprisings, the social unrest and the indignation at injustice, that had arisen in the name of freedom, access to employment, social development and justice – demands that have animated the Mediterranean region of over the past four years.
It was a tentative to gather many of the personalities that are ready to commit themselves in a political project for the affirmation of a Mediterranean Citizenship, in other words in a project to make citizens aware of the common destiny of the region that they face.
In this respect, we propose you a synthesis of the nine dialogues which have taken place in Messina, and the results of the survey made among the participants, which represent the first step to share themes, inspirations and thoughts for reflection, and identify the next steps to build the Mediterranean Citizenship.
