Support to the social and health system in the Kasserine Governorate
Tunisia, the Mediterranean side of Africa and a land rich in products and raw materials, is living a period of strong political and economic instability, mostly due to the so called “Arab spring”, which led to the fall of the ten-year long Ben Alì regime. Starting from the ‘70s, Tunisia developed an articulated system of responsible microcredit and finance and the new provisional government, in 2011, passed a law which aimed to make a crucial element out of microfinance, for the Country’s development.
But this last few years’ economic crisis in Tunisia led to a reduction of the commitment of banks in the microcredit system, paralyzing the whole system.
That’s why COSPE implemented a specific project aiming to provide the “RESSK” network (a network of Tunisian associations) with the tools that are necessary to get microfinance and obtain economic support which is crucial for their initiatives.
In particular, the project aims to use microcredit as a “participatory and democratic” tool, to support projects and initiatives of social and inclusive economy, promoted by young Tunisian entrepreneurs.
With your precious contribution you will directly support young people from Tunisia who are committed to the realization of sustainable economic initiatives, financing a whole training cycle on access to microcredit and on the realization of social and inclusive economy projects.
Support young people and women from Tunisia, your help can make the difference!
